Lemon Glow Spiral

⋆✴︎˚｡⋆ Part of the Light & Flow Series ⋆˚꩜｡

This piece was inspired by the song Lemon Glow by Beach House- a song that always puts me in a dreamy, flowing creative headspace.  While listening, I found myself drawn to warm golden tones and soft iridescent textures that echo the hazy glow of their music.

Several sections of this piece are made from vintage glass produced by a manufacturer that closed in 2016.  Because this glass is no longer produced, the colors and textures have become increasingly rare and difficult to source.  Its unique iridescence catches the light, revealing subtle rainbows and depth as the light shifts throughout the day.

At the center sits a round jewel that anchors the movement of the spiral, allowing the surrounding glass to glow and change as light passes through it.

In direct sunlight this piece glows bright and luminous, while softer light brings out the textures and iridescent shifts in the glass.

Authentic stained glass-

Created using the copper foil method.
Each piece of glass was individually cut, ground, foiled and soldered by hand.
When completed all of my work is then protected by a high quality polish.
